＊本来は、学校の休みを検索するサイトですが、州毎に検索できたり、年毎（１９５２年～２０３０年）に検索したり、祝日毎（とくにキリスト教由来の祝日は毎年変わります）に検索できるなど、優れものです。たとえば、ハンブルクの５月の休み（Pfingstferien）は、次のとおりです。

＊2023年秋からEU諸国あての郵便物の取扱いがEU側の都合で非常に厳しくなりました。クリスマスカードでも、税関告知書が必要だそうですから、ご注意ください。なお、逆にEUから日本向けの郵便物は、日本側の対応が異ならないので、従来どおりです。

＊公園に池があり、水鳥がいますが、「パンを与えてはならない」と言われたことがあります。「パンが水でふやけて鳥が死ぬ」とのことでしたが、他にもいろいろ理由があることが分かりました。

＊車がスピードを出すので、「危うく轢かれそうになった」と書いていますが、それだけではありません。日本の道路交通法上も、罰金が規定されていますが、ドイツの警察は、本当に歩行者を逮捕し、罰金を科すと言われています。ただし、最近は、信号を無視する歩行者が増えているとも聞いています。
